Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This policy sets out, clearly and simply, how personal data is handled, in accordance with law no. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, promulgated by dahir 1.09.15 of 18 February 2009, and its implementing texts.

2. Data collected

Diwan of Translation may collect:

• Name
• Email address
• Telephone number
• The language pair and the nature of the work requested
• IP address and browsing data (cookies)

This data is collected when someone sends an enquiry, and when the website is used. The site has no form, no account and no file upload; documents are not requested with an enquiry, and are exchanged only once terms are agreed.

3. Purposes

The data is used to:

• Answer enquiries and prepare quotations
• Carry out translation work that is commissioned
• Operate and improve the website
• Meet legal and tax obligations

4. Legal grounds

• The consent of the person concerned, where it is required
• The performance of a contract, or steps taken before entering into one
• The legitimate interest of the practice in operating and securing its website
• Compliance with legal obligations, including under law no. 52-23 on the profession of sworn translators, promulgated by dahir 1.25.68 of 31 December 2025 and in force since 29 April 2026, which replaced law no. 50-00

5. Retention

• Enquiries that do not lead to work: twelve months after the last exchange
• Correspondence and invoices relating to work carried out: as required by Moroccan tax and accounting rules
• Browsing data: thirteen months at most

6. Who has access

The data is accessible only to:

• Norddine Zouitni, sworn translator
• Where necessary, the translators working with him, who are bound to confidentiality
• Technical providers (hosting, email, maintenance), under strict confidentiality obligations
• The administrative and judicial authorities, where the law requires it

No data is sold, rented or passed to third parties for commercial purposes.

7. Hosting and security

The website and its email are hosted by technical providers whose infrastructure is located outside Morocco, in secured environments.

• Access restricted to authorised persons
• Secure connections over HTTPS
• Two-step verification on all accounts
• As a sworn translator, Norddine Zouitni is bound by professional secrecy

8. Your rights

Under law no. 09-08, you have:

• The right of access to your data
• The right to have it corrected, updated or deleted
• The right to object to its processing, except where the law requires it to be kept
• The right to complain to the CNDP (www.cndp.ma)

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you these rights as well as the right to portability.

9. Cookies

This site uses no advertising cookies and does not track visitors across other sites.

Two things are stored, both necessary for the site to work: the language you have chosen, and the protection against bots run by the site's technical provider.
